Dr. Angela Anderson (Veterinarian/Owner): Dr. Anderson was born and raised in Sioux Falls.  She graduated with distinction from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.   During that time she recieved the "Gentle Doctor" and Feline Practitioners Awards. Dr. Anderson has practiced in both Sioux Falls and San Diego, California. She opened Heather Ridge Pet Hospital to provide high quality veterinary care in February, 2005.  Dr. Anderson and her husband Sean, have two dogs (seen in the picture), a Shih tzu, Augustus, and a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, Duncan.  She also has two mischievious cats, Sophie and Higgins.

Dr. Anderson has a special interest in dermatology, ophthalmology, and pain management, such as arthritis pain, trauma, and post-surgical pain.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Information Network.

Brooke (Veterinary Technician): Brooke grew up on a farm near Marshall, Minnesota. She received her associates in applied science degree in the Veterinary Technology Program at Ridgewater College.  Brooke has over 9 years experience in the veterinary field. Brooke has been with Heather Ridge Pet Hospital from the start.  She has four dogs: two German Shepherds, Logan and Kaden, and 2 feisty Papillons, named Karson and Kaisen.  Brooke also has several horses, which she loves to train and ride.

Carrie (Receptionist/Assistant): Carrie comes from Pipestone, Minnesota, and joined our staff in December, 2005. Carrie is currently pursuing her biology degree from SDSU. She has a diabetic rat terrier named Smokey, and a cat named Stormy.  

Michelle (Receptionist/Assistant): Michelle is from Salem, SD and joined our staff in January 2007.  She is currently a student at Augustana College as well.  She has a lab mix named Casey and a cat, Skittles.

Megan (Receptionist/Assistant): Megan joined our staff in April of 2007.  She has lived all over the country, but currently calls Sioux Falls home.  She has a large amount of experience with horses, and has a dog named Oscar, and a cat named Junior. 

Connie (Groomer): Connie is from Sioux Falls and joined our staff in June of 2007.  She has over 12 years experience grooming dogs and cats.  She has three dogs of her own that keep her very busy.

"Tyson" (Clinic Cat/Greeter):  Tyson came to us from a farm, after it was noted he was missing one of his paws (though now you would barely notice!). He loves people (especially children), cats, and the occasional dog.  He enjoys chasing his tail, naps behind the computer (see his picture!), and mealtime. He will often greet our clients and patients at the front desk.  Tyson has been an important member of our staff since we opened in February 2005.
